Quainton Windmill is located in the picturesque village of Quainton in Buckinghamshire between Aylesbury and Bicester. The 188 year old mill sits proudly above the Village Green, there are fewer than 40 working windmills in the UK and so it is truly a sight to behold.

It is open every Sunday from 10.00 to 12.30 hours

Quainton Windmill provides an ideal opportunity for a visit along with the George & Dragon public house & restaurant, coffee shop, village store, 14th Century church and the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre.

Over the last seven years a team of volunteers have completed a major restoration and whenever possible the sails will be operating. The mill is fortunate in having much of its original machinery throughout its six storeys enabling grain to be ground. The owner is Colin Dancer who is a direct descendent of James Anstiss who built the mill in 1832.
